Samuel Briant

1st Degree Black Belt, Taekwondo

Samuel Briant started training at Ananda Martial Arts in 2012. He has studied Taekwondo, Hapkido, Self-Defense, Traditional Weapons, and Five Realms Meditative Movement. He has also attended tournaments, seminars, and has taught Taekwondo in Youth and Adult classes. Assistant Instructor Briant earned a Taekwondo 1st Degree Black Belt in May 2023.

 

Briant graduated from Oakland Technical High School in May 2023, and is currently studying Biology on the pre-med track at the University of California, Los Angeles. He enjoys running and has participated in several sports, including lacrosse, basketball, cross country, and rowing. Briant enjoys learning languages and speaks Spanish, French, and Portuguese; and is learning Greek and Arabic. Briant loves to drink water, and some of his favorite healthy snacks are red grapes, blueberries and blackberries.

 

While training at AMAFA, Assistant Instructor Briant says he has learned the importance of Discipline: “My life at UCLA has benefited greatly from being able to balance my education, health, relationships, and hobbies—along with my continued martial arts training.”
